Polly Draper
Polly Draper (born June 15, 1955 in Palo Alto , California ) is an American actress , screenwriter , director and producer .
life and career
Draper graduated in 1977 as Bachelor the Yale University and in 1980 as Master of Arts, the Yale School of Drama . She made her debut opposite Jennifer Connelly in the 1985 comedy Ticket to Heaven . In the SF comedy Making Mr. Right (1987), she starred alongside John Malkovich and Ann Magnuson .
Draper played a leading role as Ellyn Warren in the American television series The Best Years from 1987 to 1991 . For this role she was nominated for an Emmy in 1988 . In the adventure film Gold Diggers - The Secret of Bear Mountain (1995), she played the role of Kate Easton , the mother of Beth Easton ( Christina Ricci ). In the film drama The Tic Code she was not only an actress in one of the bigger roles, but also a screenwriter and producer; for her performance she won the Bronze Gryphon of the Italian Giffoni Film Festival .
Since 2005 Draper has worked as a screenwriter, director and producer for the mockumentary The Naked Brothers Band . In 2009 she received the Writers Guild Award (WGA) for the best children's film script for the film The Naked Brothers Band: Polarbears .
From 1983 to 1990, Polly Draper was married to Kevin Wade . In 1993 she married the jazz musician Michael Wolff . She lives with him and their two sons Nat and Alex Wolff in Manhattan , New York .
