Ann Magnuson (born January 4, 1956 in Charleston , West Virginia ) is an American actress and singer .

Life and accomplishments

Magnuson graduated from Denison University in Granville, Ohio in 1978 . She made her debut as an actress in the early 1980s. In the thriller Desire (1983) she played a young woman who is murdered by Miriam and John Blaylock ( Catherine Deneuve and David Bowie ). In the comedy Making Mr. Right - A Man à la Carte (1987) she played one of the leading roles alongside John Malkovich . From 1989 to 1992 she appeared in the award-winning television series Anything But Love . In the thriller Panic Room (2002) she played a friend of Meg Altman , who was played by Jodie Foster . In 2003 she starred in the TV series Wanda at Large .

Magnuson was a DJ at Club 57 in New York City in the early 1980s . From 1985 to 1992 she was the singer and lyricist of the music group Bongwater , which released some music albums. In 1995 she released the solo album The Luv Show .
