Thomas Dorfer

Thomas Dorfer (born April 27, 1975 in Spittal an der Drau , Carinthia ) is an Austrian chef .

Life

After completing his training, Dorfer went to the Kaiser Stub'n restaurant in Sydney in 1994 and to Landhaus Bacher in Mautern an der Donau (two Michelin stars ) in 1996 , where he was to become head chef six years later. In 1997 he moved to the Jöhris Talvo restaurant in St. Moritz ( Switzerland ) (two Michelin stars) and in 1999 to the Bareiss restaurant in Baiersbronn with Claus-Peter Lumpp (two Michelin stars).

In 2009 he was named Chef of the Year by Gault Millau . Since 2010 he has been head chef at Landhaus Bacher in Mautern, which was awarded two Michelin stars from 2005 to 2009 and 18 points in Gault Millau since 2002 .

Dorfer has been married to Susanne Dorfer-Bacher since 2006 and has two children.
