Thomas Ertl (athlete)
Thomas Ludwig Ertl (born March 6, 1968 in Regensburg ) is a former German marathon runner .
In 1989 he was third in the German marathon championship with his personal best of 2:16:00 h. Two years later he became the first all-German marathon champion, and in 1992 he defended this title.
Thomas Ertl started from 1991 to 1995 for TSV Burghaslach, before and after that for the LLC Marathon Regensburg .
