Thomas Grün (born February 28, 1995 in Niederkorn ) is a Luxembourg basketball player . He is in the squad of the Gladiators Trier in the 2nd Bundesliga ProA .

career

Green went through the youth department of the BBC AS Zolwer and came in the 2010/11 season on first minutes in the men's team in the first division. Between 2011 and 2014 he attended the basketball boarding school at the Urspring School in Germany, where he completed his Abitur.

From 2014 to 2016, Green played at SLUC Nancy in France, was mainly used in the youth team, but also made five short appearances in Nancy's men's team in the French first division in the 2015/16 season.

In June 2016 he was signed by the Gladiators Trier from the German 2nd Bundesliga ProA .

National team

Green played for Luxembourg's national teams in the U16, U18 and U20 age groups. At the U16-B-EM 2011 he was the best thrower of his team with 19.3 points per game. In 2014 he was appointed to the senior national team for the first time. In 2016 he took part in the Luxembourg national team's 82:75 over Great Britain - this was Luxembourg's first ever victory in a European Championship qualifier.
