Thomas Hammer (journalist)

Thomas Hammer (* 1969 in Bönnigheim ) is a German business journalist and non-fiction author.

Career

After training as an industrial clerk, continuing education in business administration and a number of professional positions, Thomas Hammer made in 1996 as a freelance author and business journalist independently .

As a business journalist, he wrote for ZEIT , Die Welt and the Süddeutsche Zeitung . As an author, he focused on financial guides, which were initially published by Falken , Econ and Droemer Knaur's paperback publishing house. In 2003 the cooperation with the publishing house of the German consumer organizations began , where Hammer published some guides on mortgage lending, investment and financial planning. The first publication of a book by Stiftung Warentest took place in September 2015.

In addition to writing his own books, Hammer also took part in book projects as a co-author. Among other things, he supported the stockbroker Dirk Müller in writing the book “Cashkurs”, which in October 2011 was number 1 in the “Non-fiction books” category on the Spiegel bestseller list.

Hammer lives in Ötisheim in Baden-Württemberg .
