Thomas Hoersen (born January 11, 1972 in Mönchengladbach ) is a former German soccer player . In his career he played a total of 94 Bundesliga games (three goals) and 73 second division games (two goals).

Career

Hoersen started playing football at Union Rheydt and moved to Borussia Mönchengladbach as a youngster , where he also started his Bundesliga career in 1991. He made his debut on November 16, 1991 in the 3-0 defeat by the Stuttgarter Kickers . For seven years he played for the Foal Elf in defense and midfield. During this time he took part twice in the final of the DFB Cup , which he won with this team in 1995.

In 1998 Hoersen went to MSV Duisburg , where he played two years in the Bundesliga and one year in the second Bundesliga. After another move to SV Waldhof Mannheim and a short guest appearance at the Rheydter Spielverein , his last professional position at Fortuna Düsseldorf followed in 2004/05 , who played in the Regionalliga Nord at the time. He ended his career in the amateur field at SC Union Nettetal and SC Kapellen-Erft .

Today Thomas Hoersen works as an insurance broker in Niederkrüchten .
