Thomas Kamenar

Thomas Kamenar (born March 10, 1979 as Tomas Kamenár in Bratislava ( ČSSR ), today Slovakia ) is an Austrian radio and television presenter with Slovak roots.

Kamenar spent the first three years of his life in socialist Czechoslovakia until his family fled to Austria. He grew up in Innsbruck . At the age of 19 he started working for the private radio stations Antenne Tirol and Welle 1 . He hosted the morning show at Antenne Tirol.

Since November 2003 he has been a moderator at Ö3 , where he initially moderated the Ö3 night flight . Currently (as of 2016) he moderates the programs Ö3-Supersamstag (alternating with Sandra König ), meeting point Ö3 (alternating with Sylvia Graf ), Hitradio Ö3 on public holidays , occasionally the Ö3 playlist and the Ö3 star hours .

On television Kamenar was seen in the music contest shows Music Stage and Heroes of Tomorrow , where he interviewed the dropped out participants. Until June 2014 he moderated the quiz show Páli vám to?On the private Slovak TV station TV JOJ . "

Kamenar has been married to the singer Petra Kamenar (stage name: Ben Sky ) since 2015 and is the father of a daughter and a son.

In November 2017, Thomas Kamenar hosted the full-length show "Österreich kann" on ORF 1. In 2018 he will present the quiz show "To hell with it" created by Oliver Baier .
