Sikorzyce ( German  Meisegau ) is a residential area in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship in Poland . He belongs to the Gmina Gościno (community Groß Jestin) in the powiat Kołobrzeski (Kolberg district) .

Geographical location

The living space is in Western Pomerania , around 100 kilometers northeast of Stettin and around 25 kilometers south of Kołobrzeg (Kolberg) . Landesstraße 6 runs about two kilometers north from west to east , the course of which here corresponds to the former Reichsstraße 2 .

history

The living space was first mentioned around 1880. At that time it consisted of three extensions that had been built about two kilometers south of the village of Ramelow . The place name Meisegau is derived from field names: The Kleine Meisgrund is to the north, the Große Meisgrund to the south. In 1885 there were 23 inhabitants in Meisegau, in 1895 28 inhabitants and in 1905 29 inhabitants.

In Meisegau there was a station on the Groß Jestin – Stolzenberg railway of the Kolberger Kleinbahn . Until 1945 Meisegau formed a residential area in the municipality of Ramelow and belonged with this to the Kolberg-Körlin district in the province of Pomerania . In 1945 Meisegau came to Poland, like all of Western Pomerania. The population was driven out . Meisegau received the Polish place name Sikorzyce .

The living space with 8 inhabitants (as of 2017) is now part of the Ramlewo Schulzenamt (Ramelow) in Gmina Gościno (Groß Jestin municipality) .
