Geographical location

The place of residence is in Western Pomerania , about 20 kilometers south of Kołobrzeg ( Kolberg ) and 95 kilometers northeast of Szczecin . It is located about 600 meters from the southern end of the elongated Kämitz lake. The closest neighboring towns are about 500 meters north of Dargocice (Eickstedtswalde) , about 2 kilometers northeast of Wartkowo (Wartekow) and about 500 meters south of Wierzbka Dolna (Groß Vorbeck) .

history

Klein Vorbeck was first mentioned in a document in 1605. In Ludwig Wilhelm Brüggemann's description of the Duchy of Western and Western Pomerania (1784), it is listed by Wartekow as "a Vorwerk located on the Feldmark of the same , called Klein-Vorbeck".

In 1828 Heinrich von Eickstedt bought from the Pomeranian noble family Eickstedt Wartekow with Klein Vorbeck. As early as 1829 he had the forest cleared and began to build a new estate north of Klein Vorbeck, near Lake Kämitz, which was named Eickstedtswalde in 1834 and became his residence. In this context, he also expanded Klein Vorbeck, which was previously a small homestead with 5 residents. In 1840 he separated Eickstedtswalde together with the Vorwerk Klein Vorbeck von Wartekow. The new unit was designated by the king as a manor suitable for the state assembly . In 1864 there were 66 inhabitants in Klein Vorbeck. With the decline of the Eickstedtswalde estate, however, the number of inhabitants soon decreased. In 1905 10 inhabitants were counted.

In 1928 Eickstedtswalde and Klein Vorbeck were sold to the non-profit district settlement company Kolberg, which divided up the estate and Vorwerk and settled farmers. 7 farms were created in Klein Vorbeck.

Klein Vorbeck belonged to the Eickstedtswalde manor district . With the dissolution of the manor districts in Prussia, Klein Vorbeck and Eickstedtswalde were briefly incorporated into the rural community of Wartekow in 1929. Because of the settlement of the property, a separate rural community Eickstedtswalde was formed, to which Eickstedtswalde, Klein Vorbeck and the village of Groß Vorbeck south of it belonged. As part of the rural community Eickstedtswalde, Klein Vorbeck belonged to the Kolberg-Körlin district of the Pomerania province until 1945 .

In 1945, Klein Vorbeck, like all of Western Pomerania, came to Poland. The population was driven out . The place name was Polonized as "Wierzbka Górna". Today it is located in the Gmina Gościno (urban and rural municipality Groß Jestin) in the powiat Kołobrzeski ( Kolberg district ). There it belongs to the Dargocice Schulzenamt . The population is (as of 2017) 30 people.
