Luban (Pomerania)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Luban was a residential area in the Prussian province of Pomerania .

The living space originally consisted of a group of courtyards (dismantling) that were located southwest of the village of Groß Jestin . The courtyards were probably laid out in the 19th century. In 1895 there were 24 inhabitants here. The place name comes from the moor further west, called the Luban. Most recently, the place name was only related to the northernmost farm before 1945.

Until 1945 Luban formed a residential area in the community of Groß Jestin and belonged with this to the Kolberg-Körlin district in the province of Pomerania .

After 1945, the place of residence came to Poland , like all of Western Pomerania . Today the place is in the area of the Polish Gmina Gościno (urban and rural municipality Groß Jestin) ; the buildings at this point have no special place names in Polish.
