Karkow Mill

Karkower Mühle was a residential area in the Prussian province of Pomerania .

The living space emerged from the windmill of the manor in Karkow . In Heinrich Berghaus' Landbuch (1867), Karkow speaks of “the mill property Mühlhof belonging to it, ¼ mile to the east”. At that time, the Mühlhof was allocated 60 acres of arable land and herding area. In 1816 there were 8 inhabitants, in 1864 9 inhabitants and in 1905 5 inhabitants. The living space belonged to the Karkow manor district and was incorporated into the municipality of Wartekow with this in 1928 .

Until 1945 Karkower Mühle formed a place to live in the municipality of Wartekow and belonged with this to the Kolberg-Körlin district in the Pomeranian province .

After 1945, the place of residence came to Poland , like all of Western Pomerania . Today the place is in the area of ​​the Polish Gmina Gościno (municipality Groß Jestin) .
