Jarogniew (German Karlshof ) is a residential area in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship in Poland . He belongs to the Gmina Gościno (community Groß Jestin) in the powiat Kołobrzeski (Kolberger district) .

The place of residence is in Western Pomerania , about 12 kilometers south of Kołobrzeg ( Kolberg ) and about 100 kilometers northeast of Szczecin .

The living space was laid out at the beginning of the 19th century as a single courtyard in the north of the district of the village of Groß Jestin , just under 2 kilometers north of the village. It was recorded on the Prussian General Staff Map around 1845 as "Papke", which is probably the name of the owner at the time.

In Karlshof there were 9 inhabitants in 1864, 84 inhabitants in 1871 (including farms in the area), and 20 inhabitants in 1925. In 1939, the Karlshof farm comprised 95 hectares of land, 65 hectares of which were arable land; the livestock were 8 horses, 34 cattle and 50 pigs.

In 1895, Karlshof received a railway connection with its own station on the Roman – Kolberg line of the Kolberger Kleinbahn (now closed).

Until 1945 Karlshof formed a place to live in the community of Groß Jestin and belonged with this to the Kolberg-Körlin district in the province of Pomerania .

In 1945 Karlshof came to Poland, like all of Western Pomerania. It was given the Polish place name "Jarogniew" and is now in the area of the Polish Gmina Gościno (municipality of Groß Jestin) . In 2017 there were 66 inhabitants.
