Thomas Kilroy
Thomas Kilroy (born September 23, 1934 in Callan , County Kilkenny ) is an Irish playwright and writer .
Life
After completing a university course at University College Dublin , Kilroy worked as a director at the Abbey Theater . He was a co-founder of the Field Day theater company . He later taught English as a professor at the National University of Ireland , Galway . Since 1989 he has mainly focused on writing. He currently resides in Mayo in the west of Ireland.
