Thomas Kläber

Thomas Kläber (born August 26, 1955 in Beyern ) is a German photographer who became known for his social documentary photography in the GDR and after the reunification of Germany.

Life

He made his first experience of photography at the age of 12 in his parents' village of Beyern in the Elbe-Elster district in southern Brandenburg . The working and everyday world of the village and the familiar milieu of the parents' farm are topics that he knows from firsthand and whose peculiarities he has been tracking down again and again since then. From 1976 to 1981 he studied photography at the Leipzig School of Graphics and Book Art (HGB). He lives and works in the area around Cottbus .
