Thomas Krüger (theologian)

Thomas Krüger (born August 5, 1959 in Essen ) is a German Protestant theologian .

Life

From 1978 to 1984 Krüger studied Protestant theology at the University of Munich . From 1984 to 1986 he was a doctoral student at the Faculty of Protestant Theology in Munich . After graduating as Dr. theol. In 1986 in Munich he completed the vicariate of the ELKB . From 1988 to 1991 he was a postdoctoral fellow at the Faculty of Protestant Theology at the University of Munich. After completing his habilitation in Munich in 1991, he was a private lecturer and part-time pastor at the ELKB from 1991 to 1992 . He has been a professor since 1992for Old Testament studies and history of ancient oriental religions at the Theological Faculty of the University of Zurich .
