Thomas Kreutzmann

Thomas Kreutzmann (* 1958 ) is a German journalist . He is a television correspondent in the ARD capital studio in Berlin. There he reports u. a. on the topics of labor / social affairs, finances, economics, transport, domestic politics and the SPD.

Life

Kreutzmann grew up in Wiesbaden and Borken (Hessen) ; his father is Heinz Kreutzmann , the former Parliamentary State Secretary in the former Federal Ministry for Internal German Relations.

He studied art history , history and classical archeology in Göttingen and Marburg and received a scholarship from the German National Academic Foundation . He began his journalistic career in 1979 as a local editor for the Hessisch-Niedersächsische Allgemeine in Kassel , where he volunteered immediately after graduating from high school .

Kreutzmann has worked for Hessischer Rundfunk (hr) since 1980 . For hr television he worked as a reporter, editor, editor-in-chief and presenter of numerous programs in the studios in Kassel and Wiesbaden, in the Funkhaus Frankfurt and abroad. In the early 1990s he was ARD television correspondent for the Czech Republic and Slovakia in Prague. Between 1996 and 1999 and between 2010 and 2016 he headed the hr television studio in the Hessian state parliament. Between 2000 and 2004 he was ARD television correspondent for Spain and Portugal in Madrid.

In addition to his contributions to the Tagesschau , Tagesthemen and the report from Berlin on ARD television, Kreutzmann was active on the Internet for tagesschau.de at an early stage. There was the financial and economic policy Internet debate Bornheim versus Kreutzmann with the former correspondent Marcus Bornheim (Bayerischer Rundfunk).
