Thomas Kruck (* 1933 ; † February 25, 2006 ) was a German chemist and university professor .

Life

After high school graduated Kruck a degree in chemistry at the Faculty of General Sciences at the Technical University of Munich , where he was on May 15, 1961 Doctor of Science doctorate with a dissertation on the topic About tellurorganyl-containing metal carbonyls and novel to magnetochemistry monoxide complexes .

On August 12, 1964, his habilitation was also carried out at the TH Munich with a habilitation thesis on the subject of trifluorophosphine complexes of transition metals: For knowledge kation. Carbon oxide complexes v. Manganese (I) u. Rhenium (I) .

He later took on a professorship for inorganic chemistry at the University of Cologne . After the retirement of Franz Fehér Kruck in 1971 together with Hans Uwe Schuster and Marianne Baudler director of the Institute of Inorganic Chemistry of the University of Cologne. He worked there until his retirement.
