Thomas Limberger

Thomas Peter Limberger (born July 22, 1967 in Bad Homburg vor der Höhe ) is a German industrial manager and investor.

education

After graduating from high school, Thomas Limberger studied economics in France and the USA. In 1994 he completed his studies with a major in "Finance and Strategic Management" with a Master of Business Administration. Limberger is a graduate of Harvard Business School and the French Grande école Institut supérieur de gestion .

Professional

After his MBA, Limberger began his professional career in 1995 at what is now Fresenius SE & Co. KGaA . With the takeover of National Medical Care in the USA, Fresenius Medical Care AG was formed, in which Limberger held various management positions until 2001.

In January 2001 he left Fresenius Medical Care AG and shortly afterwards became a member of the Board of Directors of General Electric Germany. There he initially took over the Industrial division. In 2002 he was appointed Chief Executive Officer of General Electric Germany, Austria, Switzerland.

In May 2004 the general meeting of OC Oerlikon AG (then Unaxis AG) elected Limberger to the board of directors. A year later, after a major shareholder change, he was elected Chairman of the Board and Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors. He led the group out of the red (minus 340 million Swiss francs in 2004) and achieved a profit of around 320 million Swiss francs in 2006, which was increased to 490 million Swiss francs in 2007. For this, the company received the Dow Jones EUROSTOXX 500 prize for the best share in Europe.

A few weeks after leaving Oerlikon, Limberger was appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors and CEO of Von Roll Holding AG, a manufacturer of heat and fire-resistant insulation products.

Limberger is the founder and CEO of the London-based SilverArrow Capital Group , a group of private investment companies with a focus on industrial growth sectors , infrastructure projects and real estate.
