Thomas Merton Award
The Thomas Merton Award is a prize that has been presented by the Thomas Merton Center since 1972 . The peace organization based in Pittsburgh , Pennsylvania named the award after the Christian mystic Thomas Merton . The award is given to personalities who campaign for social justice ( "National and international individuals struggling for justice" ).
