Thomas Nippold

Thomas Dietrich Nippold (born August 29, 1963 in Starnberg ; † August 19, 2014 in Berlin ) was a German screenwriter and lawyer in Berlin.

Nippold attended high school in Starnberg up to his Abitur , then studied law at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich and at the Free University in Berlin up to the first state examination in law . This was followed by the legal preparatory service , the 2nd state law examination and admission as a lawyer by the Berlin Bar Association . Since then, Nippold was initially part of a large law and tax firm based in Berlin-Mitte and, from 2012 until his death, a partner in the law firm Nippold & Kurth Partnerschaft. His focus was on labor, tenancy and criminal law.

During his legal career, Nippold devoted himself intensively to trainee lawyer training.

In addition, Nippold wrote scripts from the 1980s to 2005, including for television series such as In the Name of the Law , Medicopter 117 - Every Life Counts , Clinic under Palms and Coast Guard as well as for the ZDF comedy Die Traumnummer - Die Hotline zum Glück and the ZDF- TV films for love with Maria Furtwängler and Timothy Peach. He wrote the screenplay for the Austrian TV comedy Fröhlich Divorced in 1996 together with Rainhard Fendrich .
