Thomas Olsson (born February 15, 1976 in Åtvidaberg ) is a former Swedish football player . The midfielder won the Lennart Johansson Cup for the Swedish championship title once with Malmö FF and IFK Göteborg .

Career

Olsson played in his youth at Åtvidabergs FF , where he also made his debut in the men's team. In 1998 he moved to IFK Norrköping in Allsvenskan . After relegation to the Superettan was established at the end of the 2002 season, he left the Kluib and moved to Malmö FF . In his second season at the club he was able to fight for a regular place and celebrate his first championship title at the end of the season. When he lost his place in the regular formation in the following season, he moved to IFK Göteborg for the 2006 season .

In his first season for his new club Olsson came to only 14 stakes, in the 2007 season he contributed with two goals this season in 19 premier league appearances to win the championship. Although he was not used in more than two thirds of the season's games in the following seasons, the club extended the contract by two years at the end of 2009. In the following season he came to 24 games this season, but was only in 16 games in the starting lineup. In the first half of the 2011 season he came under coach Jonas Olsson only a short term, then he was awarded to his youth club Åtvidabergs FF for the second half of the year. By the end of the season he was eight times in the starting lineup, as a second division champion, the club returned to the first division. He then ended his professional career and stayed at IFK Göteborg as a junior coach. In March of the following year he announced that he would continue his playing career in parallel in the lower class amateur area and moved to the then seventh division Särö IK .
