The Thomas Peak is a 2,040 m high mountain in the East Antarctic Victoria Land . In the Victory Mountains, it rises up on the west side of the Malta Plateau from a ridge between the Wilhelm and Olson glaciers .
The United States Geological Survey mapped it based on its own surveys and aerial photographs of the United States Navy from 1960 to 1964. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1970 after Francis J. Thomas, a biologist at McMurdo Station between 1962 and 1963 and from 1964 to 1965.
