Thomas Pleye

Thomas Pleye (born February 5, 1960 in Melle ) is a German political official . From 2006 to 2011 he was State Secretary in the Ministry of Economics and Labor of Saxony-Anhalt , and since May 2011 he has been President of the State Administrative Office of Saxony-Anhalt .

Life and work

After finishing school, Pleye studied law in Osnabrück and Munich from 1980 to 1986 . In 1989 he passed the second state examination in law. In the same year he joined the state administration of Lower Saxony as a personal advisor to Environment Minister Werner Remmers . From 1990 to 1991 he worked for the district of Osnabrück , then he moved to the Zeitz district in Saxony-Anhalt as a department head . In 1994 the district of Zeitz merged into the newly founded Burgenland district , and Pleye served as deputy district administrator until his appointment as state secretary in May 2002 .

Thomas Pleye is married with one child.

politics

On May 22, 2002, Pleye was appointed State Secretary in the Ministry of Justice of the State of Saxony-Anhalt, led by Curt Becker ( CDU ). From April 2004 to April 2006 he worked in the same position under Klaus Jeziorsky (CDU) in the Ministry of the Interior. Then he was State Secretary alongside Detlef Schubert in the Ministry of Economics and Labor, with Reiner Haseloff (CDU) as head of department. In May 2011 Thomas Pleye became President of the State Administration Office of Saxony-Anhalt.
