Anna Keel
Anna Keel (born April 16, 1940 as Anna Diekmann in Chemnitz , † September 14, 2010 in Zurich ) was a German painter .
Live and act
After graduating from the secondary school of the daughter's school in Zurich, Anna Diekmann began training as a secretary and also drew. From 1960 she worked as a temporary worker in the Daniel Keel gallery in Zurich. She was a student of Albert Pfister and attended London's Hammersmith School of Art & Building. In 1962 she married the publisher Daniel Keel (1930–2011), with whom she had two sons, Philipp Keel and Jakob Keel. She exhibited her works in Zurich, Milan, Munich, the Musée des Arts décoratifs in Paris and the Folkwang Museum in Essen , among others . Her last exhibition took place in 2005 at the Jamileh Weber gallery in Zurich . The spectrum of her artistic work consisted mainly of portraits , but still lifes and interiors were also among the art objects she created.
For many years she was a confidante of Christiane Felscherinow , who became world famous as the drug addict Christiane F. and through the book Wir Kinder vom Bahnhof Zoo .
Anna Keel found her final resting place in the Fluntern cemetery in Zurich .
