Thomas Rau
Thomas Rau (born August 17, 1936 in Berlin ) is a German voice actor. He currently lives in Munich .
At first he worked as an actor and was a. a. seen on television in Aktenzeichen XY… ungelöst (1972), Lokaltermin (1973), Rockys Messer (1969, with Barbara Ratthey ) and in Aufdermauer (1983, with Klaus Abramowsky ). As a voice actor, he has voiced several actors on series such as Law & Order , Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and Criminal Intent .
He is best known for his voice as Chief Wiggum , but also as the leader of the Autobots Optimus Prime in the Transformers series from the 1980s, which only aired in Germany at the beginning of the 1990s, he achieved great fame even before he spoke Chief Wiggum. He also dubbed the voices of Joseph Bono ( Like a Wild Bull ), Bo Hopkins ( U-Turn - No way back ) or J. Todd Adams (Creature Zone)
In the 1990s he also voiced many characters from the Marvel series; including Rhino , Abomination and Whirlwind .
