Thomas Sören Hoffmann
Thomas Sören Hoffmann (born April 26, 1961 in Neuwied ) is a German philosopher and professor of philosophy at the Distance University in Hagen .
Life
From 1979 to 1986 he studied philosophy, Protestant theology and Italian studies in Tübingen , Vienna and Bonn . After receiving his doctorate in 1990 and research assistant at the Philosophical Seminar A at the University of Bonn, he became a research assistant and lecturer in Bonn in 1996 . After his habilitation in 1999 and private lecturer in Bonn, various professorships. From 2003 to 2007 he worked in the DFG project "Cross-Cultural Bioethics" at the Ruhr University Bochum and was a research assistant at the Institute for Philosophy in Bochum. In 2005 he was appointed adjunct professor of philosophy in Bonn. In 2009 he was visiting professor for natural philosophy at the Catholic-Theological University in Linz . In 2009 he became the successor of Kurt Röttgers in Hagen .
