Career
The striker Thomas Sagel began his career at TuS Erkeln and came to SpVg Brakel via TuS Bad Driburg . In 1985 he moved to the upper division TuS Paderborn-Neuhaus , before joining the second division Arminia Bielefeld a year later . Sagel made his second division debut on July 26, 1986 in a 0-0 draw at Arminia at Fortuna Cologne , and his first goal followed on September 13, 1986 in a 1-1 draw at SV Darmstadt 98 . Sagel scored another goal in the curious game against 1.
