Thomas Schröder (politician)

Thomas Schröder (born July 21, 1954 in Boppard ) is a German politician ( Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen ) and lawyer.

Schröder attended school in Hamburg , Heidelberg and Hanover and studied law at the universities in Berlin and Hanover until 1982. In 1983 he joined the Greens, for whom he began to work in the same year as a legal advisor in the Lower Saxony parliamentary group. From 1983 to 1990 he was a consultant for legal and domestic policy. Also in 1983 he opened a law firm in Hameln , where he was appointed notary in 1988. From 1988 to 1995 Schröder was on the city council of Bad Münder am Deister . In the state elections in 1994 he was elected to the state parliament via a list, of which he was a member for two terms until 2003. On March 11, 2015, he will join the Hamelin City Council as a successor.
