Thomas Schumacher (born April 13, 1972 in Bremen ) is a German producer of electronic dance music .

Life

In 1993, Schumacher and Ilker Yilmaz produced five maxi CDs under the name NIP Collective . Numerous appearances followed before the collaboration ended in 1997. Thomas Schumacher then started the Elektrochemie LK project and continued to publish under his own name at the same time. A demo tape prompted the British label Bush to write the track Ficken No. 3 , which sold 15,000 times and could be heard in many clubs in 1997. In 1997 the track When I Rock was released , which was edited again in 1998 by Simon Begg. The track became even more successful as Ficken No. 3 and was also shown as a music video on VIVA .

In 1998, Bush Records released Schumacher's first album, Electric Ballroom , which included the tracks Lust and Eighties . Schumacher's label Spiel-Zeug Schallplatten published productions by artists such as Clemens Neufeld , Umek and Adam Beyer . The compilation pearls give an insight into the toy stuff - back catalog .

In addition, Schumacher published on labels such as Confused , Leaded , and under the alias Southampton Ltd. at the Hamburg label Superstition . Together with Jens Mahlstedt and Ilker Yilmaz, he produced the music for a Hamlet production at the Bonner Schauspielhaus. In 2001 the Elektrochemie LK album Gold was released .

The track Elektrochemie LK meets Soft Cell - Tainted Schall also appeared as a music video on VIVA . In 2006 the album Home and the vinyls Home 1-3 appeared in Schumacher's name.
He made remixes for artists like Frankie goes to Hollywood , Monika Kruse , Afrika Bambaataa and Chicks on Speed .
