Thomas Ryan Scrubb (born September 26, 1991 in Richmond , British Columbia ) is a Canadian basketball player . He is under contract with JL Bourg Basket .
Career
Scrubb initially played for the team from Carleton University in Canada and won the U Sports championship five times with her . In the 2013/14 and 2014/15 playing years, he was named the best defender in the Canadian University League. He then played in Finland for the first division club Kataja Basket Joensuu .
For the 2016/2017 season he then moved to the Gießen 46ers and played 18 games in the Basketball Bundesliga (BBL) for Mittelhessen . He came to averages of 11.8 points and 5.2 rebounds per encounter. He then left Germany for Italy, where he played in Serie A for two years.
In July 2019, Scrubb was signed by the French top club Strasbourg IG . For the 2020 summer season he will move to his home country to join the Ottawa BlackJacks in the CEBL to play with his brother Philip. For the 2020/21 season he was signed by JL Bourg Basket (France).
