Thomas Thomasberg (born October 15, 1974 ) is a former Danish soccer player and today's soccer coach . He is licensed as a technical instructor and is currently training the first division club Randers FC .
Career as a player and coach
Thomas Thomasberg has been under contract with Aalborg BK and FC Midtjylland during his active career . Aalborg BK won the Danish championship in both 1995 and 1999 while Thomasberg was present at the club. He later ran for FC Midtjylland, where he ended his active career in September 2004.
After Thomasberg was assistant coach in Herning in central Jutland , where FC Midtjylland plays its home games, he took over the post of head coach for the 2008/09 season and held this post until his dismissal on August 11, 2009 he new coach of third division FC Hjørring and led the club to promotion to the second highest Danish division. After just six months, Thomas Thomasberg moved to the second division club FC Fredericia . After the club finished sixth in the 2010/11 season and seventh in the following season, Thomasberg was dismissed on April 8, 2013. In the following years he was assistant coach at Randers FC , before Thomas Thomasberg was promoted to the new coach at Hobro IK on January 4, 2017 . With Hobro IK he rose to the Superleague, the highest Danish league, and led the North Jutes to stay in the league the following season. For the 2018/19 season Thomasberg was the new coach of his former club Randers FC.
