Thomas Wallnig

Thomas Wallnig (born June 24, 1975 in Bozen ) is an Italian historian .

Life

From 1993 to 2004 he studied at the University of Graz : Mag. Phil. in history (minor: Italian studies ) 1999. Diploma thesis: The Italian correspondence of Baron Josef von Hammer-Purgstall. Letters in text and comments. A contribution to the history of science in Italy during the restoration period (advisor: Walter Höflechner) and the Dr. phil. in History 2004. He is a private lecturer at the University of Vienna .

His main areas of research are (early) modern European history; Auxiliary sciences of history; History of science and science; digital humanities; Monastery and church history; Republic of Letters; History of historiography (including 19th and 20th centuries); Austrian, German and Italian history; History of rock and roll.
