Thomas von Münch

Johann Thomas von Münch (born February 14 or 24, 1723 in Augsburg ; † February 25, 1758 there ) was a German nobleman and lawyer. He was assessor at the City Court Augsburg, lord of the castle Aystetten , Castle Filseck and Mühringen .

biography

family

Thomas von Münch was a son of the Augsburg banker Christian I. von Münch and his wife Anna Barbara, born. from Rauner. On May 29, 1752, he married Rosina Elisabeth von Rauner, a daughter of Benedict von Rauner, merchant and silver jeweler in Augsburg, and his wife Elisabeth Magdalena, born in Augsburg. from Griffin. The marriage produced a son and a daughter.

Münch's widow married on January 22, 1759 Johann Thomas von Rauner, head of the church council and administrator of the Sankt Annakollegium in Augsburg.

education and profession

After attending grammar school in Augsburg, Münch was accepted into the Pädagogium Halle in 1737 for further training . Five years later enrolled him at the University of Halle . From there he moved to the University of Göttingen in 1744 and to the University of Strasbourg in 1746 . In 1751 Münch became an assessor at the Augsburg city court.

Landowner

Christian I. von Münch had left his castles and estates Aystetten, Filseck and the rule Hohenmühringen and Niedermühringen as Fideikommiss to his male descendants. Since Thomas von Münch died one year after his father, it is unknown what significance these had for him.
