Thomas von Mitschke-Collande

Thomas von Mitschke-Collande (born May 1, 1950 in Augsburg ) is a German management consultant and local politician . He is a member of the Central Committee of German Catholics .

Life

Thomas von Mitschke-Collande comes from the originally Silesian noble family Mitschke-Collande . He studied economics at the University of Munich and was here in 1977 with a dissertation on a concept for the empirical measurement of the influence of the participation of Dr. rer. oec. PhD. From 1978 to 2010 he worked for the management consultancy McKinsey & Company Germany, most recently as "Senior Director" in the Munich office.

He is a member of the CSU , a member of the municipal council of his place of residence Tutzing , press spokesman for the CSU parliamentary group in the municipal council and deputy chairman of the Economic Policy Committee of the CSU Economic Advisory Council.

Von Mitschke-Collande is involved in the Roman Catholic Church and is a member of the Central Committee of German Catholics, the Board of Trustees of the Catholic University of Eichstätt and the Board of Trustees of the Eugen Biser Foundation . He advised the Archdiocese of Berlin and the German Bishops' Conference . In addition to magazine articles, he published the book Is the Catholic Church abolishing itself? Analyzes and solutions by a management consultant (2012), for which the chairman of the German Bishops' Conference Karl Lehmann wrote the foreword.

Thomas von Mitschke-Collande has been married to Maria Assunta, b. Countess von Thun and Hohenstein (* 1951), a sister of Georg Graf von Thun and Hohenstein . The couple has three children.
