Thomson Sandlands Allan (born October 5, 1946 in Longridge , West Lothian , Scotland ) is a former Scottish football player .

Career

society

Allan began his career as a professional footballer in 1963 with Hibernian Edinburgh . In 1969 he moved with the Hibs into the final of the Scottish League Cup , in which he and his team lost 6-2 to Celtic Glasgow . In 1971 he moved to FC Dundee , with whom he again moved into the final of the League Cup in 1973 against Celtic. The 1-0 victory of his team at Glasgow's Hampden Park meant the only title win in his professional career.

In 1979 he left Dundee and played one season for Heart of Midlothian . From there he moved to FC Falkirk in 1980 , which had just been promoted to the second-rate Scottish Football League First Division . After three years with the Baims , he let his career at the lower-class club FC East Stirlingshire end.

National team

In 1974 Allan played in two friendly matches against Germany (1: 2) and Norway (2: 1) for the Scottish national team. In the same year he was in the Scottish squad for the 1974 World Cup in Germany , in which he was not used.
