Thorsten Dauth

Thorsten Dauth (born March 11, 1968 in Bad Nauheim ) is a former German decathlete .

Career

It wasn't until the age of 21 that Dauth began to take part in athletics. He achieved his best placings in 1991 when he was fifth at the all-around meeting in Götzis, tenth in the world championship, European cup winner with the German team and German runner-up. In 1995 he achieved his personal best in the decathlon at the all-around meeting in Götzis with 8164 points. Dauth was active as a decathlete until 1996.

Professional activity after the sports career

At the moment (2012) Thorsten Dauth is active as an athletic trainer at the 3rd league club Kickers Offenbach in the youth field. He also plays as a football goalkeeper in the Friedberg district league for TSG Ober-Wöllstadt , having previously played in the Frankfurt group league for SG Ober-Erlenbach .
