Thorsten Dominik

Thorsten Dominik (born August 15, 1977 ) is a German wrestler .

The 1.70 meter tall controller started wrestling in his childhood. His previous coaches were Gerhard Weissenberger and Alexander Leipold . He wrestles in free style with the Bundesliga club RWG Mömbris-Königshofen .

International participation

In 1998 Thorsten Dominik took part in a FILA test tournament in Leipzig (category under 58 kg). After a victory in the first round against Octavian Cuciuc from Moldova (3: 2) he lost against the later third Anatoli Guidea , Moldova, with 0: 4. In the third round he clearly defeated Aleksey Abibok from Lithuania on points with 10: 1. This point victory meant his fifth tournament counterpoint, so that he was 7th of 12 wrestlers at the end.
In 2004 Thorsten Dominik finally came back to international action: At the European Championships in Ankara (category under 60 kg) Thorsten Dominik was only penultimate in 14th place after losing to Sevak Bagdhyan from Armenia and the later silver medalist Alan Dudaew from Russia ( aborted after 5:01 minutes at 1:11).
