Thorsten Libotte (born July 20, 1972 in Bonn ) is a German writer who mainly publishes poetry.

life and work

Thorsten Libotte was born in 1972 in Bonn, North Rhine-Westphalia . After graduating from high school at Petersberg and then completing military service, he began studying biology at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn in autumn 1992 . In the spring of 2001 he moved to the University of Cologne to do research as a doctoral student at the medical faculty, and in summer 2004 he obtained the academic degree of Dr. rer. nat.

In addition to his studies and normal work, he developed his talent in the writing guild. Since the end of the 1990s he has been represented as a poet with various publications in numerous poetry anthologies, including the anthologies Junge Lyrik , Junge Lyrik II and Junge Lyrik III , as well as the love poetry anthology Die Jahreszeiten der Liebe at Martin Werhand Verlag . In addition, his poetry was published in the Christmas classics series Gedichte zur Christmas, which Stephan Koranyi is responsible for at Reclam Verlag, or in the anthology Ideas Like Butterflies edited by Ina Nefzer at Thienemann Verlag . In March 2014, his first own volume of poetry, Quintessenz, was published in the 100 poems series by Martin Werhand Verlag. His second poetry publication appeared in the same year under the name Mitbürger in the same publishing house. His third volume of poetry, entitled Zapping , was published in November 2015 in the 250 poems series by Werhand Verlag.

Thorsten Libotte is the father of two children and lives with his family in Ruppichteroth .
