Thorsten Rother (born April 24, 1976 in Hanover ) is a German radio presenter and program director .

Since 1991 Rother has been active at various radio stations in Germany. From 1991 to 1996 he worked as a presenter , morning show producer and gag writer for Hitradio N1 in Nuremberg . Between 1996 and 1997 Rother was active as a co-presenter of the morning program on Radio Gong in Nuremberg. From 1997 to 1999 he completed his internship at mix95.0 in Hamburg . Thorsten Rother worked as a morning presenter and on air designer at Antenne AC in Aachen from 1999 to 2001. From 2001 to 2007 Rother took on the duties of assistant to the management and from 2005 the program director of Antenne Südbaden in Freiburg . From 2007 to 2009 he worked for LandesWelle Thüringen as a coordinator in the area of on air promotion . Between 2009 and 2012, Rother was active in the Strategic Program Planning department and as a moderator for Antenne Thüringen. A short engagement between 2012 and 2013 for LandesWelle Thüringen as a morning presenter followed. From 2013 Thorsten Rother worked for Antenne Niedersachsen (formerly Hit-Radio Antenne) as an on-air designer and presenter. From September 2014 he took over the program management of the Augsburg radio station Radio Fantasy . In February 2017 he became program director at Radio Salü . At his own request, Rother left the station after 6 months.

Rother operates the company Farm Media, which, as a service provider for radio stations, takes care of on-air promotion, on-air design and strategic program planning. From 2008 to 2013 Rother was the stadium announcer for the soccer club FC Carl Zeiss Jena. Previously, he worked in this role at the ice hockey clubs EHC Freiburg and EHC Black Dragons Erfurt.

Thorsten Rother was active as DJ Mike Sanchez in various clubs and discos. Together with Gary D. Rother founded the project "The Second Division" and produced music together with Gary D. This was primarily published on the D-Techno compilation.
