Hit Radio N1 (short: N1 ) is a private radio broadcaster from Nuremberg . It can be received on DAB + channel 10C and the FM 92.9  MHz frequency .

history

Hit Radio N1 successfully applied for one of the five terrestrial frequencies advertised on July 25, 1986. He prevailed against a total of 36 applicants, but had to share the split frequency with Christian division providers. On December 3, 1986, Radio N1 was able to go on air on cable and as one of four programs on its terrestrial frequency. Since November 1, 2012, the program in the greater Nuremberg area can also be received via DAB + digital radio.

The station plays current hits for 20 to 40 year old radio listeners (" Mainstream CHR ") and offers accompanying offers such as service and listener campaigns tailored to this target group. The flagship radio station is the morning show Flo Kerschner Show (2012 until February 2013 Flo and Lola Show ) with program director Florian Kerschner, Lisa May and Dippi.

The station is now owned by Radio 5 Programm- und Werbegesellschaft mbH (60% - 15% of this is attributable to the entrepreneur Hermann Mayer) and Radio 1 Providergesellschaft mbH (40%).

The radio station holds a stake in Funkhaus Nürnberg Studiobetriebs-GmbH, which Radio N1 founded in 1995 together with the three stations Charivari 98.6 , Gong 97.1 and Radio F. The fifth radio program was Pirate Gong in 1999 (until 2011 Pirate Radio). The editorial and production rooms are used together for more economical efficiency.

  • In November 2008, the then N1 presenter Markus Heffner made headlines because he was heartbroken and played the song The Best of the Silbermond group in the morning show Knallwach for a long time . This incident was the subject of the comedy advice show Genial besides - Die Comedy Arena on Sat.1 in December 2008 .
  • A few years earlier there was a heated argument in the N1 power morning between the presenters Gerald Kappler, Stefan Meixner and Jessica Witte-Winter , which escalated to the point that the frontman Stefan Meixner left the studio during the show. Due to the chaotic development, the audience heard everything live.
  • Former employees are Lola (Flo and Lola Show), Mischa Frinke, Marie Gomez and Patrick "Pät" Lengenfelder (morning show Knallwach ). Marie Gomez switched to Radio Energy Stuttgart, is back in Nuremberg after a short stay in Berlin, at competitor Energy Nuremberg, Mischa Frinke has left the broadcasting house (as of March 2014) and Patrick Lengenfelder has moved to Munich. The former N1 program manager and presenter Marco König switched to Radio Ton in Heilbronn as program director at the beginning of 2012 . Moderator Anna Noé has also left N1. Lisa Mai took her place.
  • As the main provider, N1 shares the split frequency with free church sector providers who design their programs under their own license. Sundays at 9:00 sends radio milestones , from 10:00 Radio AREF and 12:00 to 13:00 Pray 92.9 . On Sundays, Mondays and Tuesdays from 9:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., Camillo takes over 92.9 . Since 2015, N1's live stream has no longer broadcast the broadcasts of the division providers.
