The Three Lakes Valley (English for three lakes valley ) is a valley on Signy Island in the archipelago of the South Orkney Islands . It stretches north from Elephant Flats to Stygian Cove .
The Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey mapped and named the valley in 1947. It is named after three freshwater lakes in the valley . The northernmost of these lakes is Heywood Lake , the middle one is Knob Lake and the southernmost one is Pumphouse Lake .
