The Thuma Peak is a largely ice-free and 550 m high mountain on the West Antarctic Rothschild Island . In the Desko Mountains it rises 3 km northwest of Overton Peak in the southeast of the island.
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named him after Jack S. Thuma (1921–1991), captain of the USCGC Westwind in Operation Deep Freeze in 1968.
