The Tiefental , also Tiefentaler Hof and Tiefentalerhof , is a residential area in the district of Külsheim 's Hundheim district in the Main-Tauber district in the Franconian north-east of Baden-Württemberg .

Tiefental is located about 2.5 kilometers west-northwest of Hundheim.
history
The place was first mentioned in 1318 as Tiefental . In 1474 another documentary mention followed. In 1480 the von Riedern family owned a farm . In 1493 the Archdiocese of Mainz acquired the Horneck court. In the 17th century a distinction was made between an upper and a lower courtyard. The Oberhof had fallen back as a Mainz fiefdom and the Unterhof was lent to the Rüdt von Collenberg , later to the Miltenberg winery in Mainz . Both farms belonged to Külsheim both in the tithe and in the parish.
The district of Tiefental is now part of Hundheim. On July 1, 1971 Hundheim was again incorporated into the city of Külsheim.
Small monuments
The following small monuments are located at the Tiefental residential area:
- Small monument no. 17 (Hundheim): little picture house. The carved wood relief of Christ as the Sower is no longer there. The old picture depicting a crucifixion group is walled in in the lower part. The late Gothic form points to the time before 1550.
- Small monument No. 18 (Hundheim): Nepomuk statue. This Nepomuk statue stands on a wall near Kolbhof in Tiefental.
- Small monument No. 19 (Hundheim): wayside shrine. This Mother of God stands as the Queen of Heaven in the garden in front of the Stumpfhof. She stands on the crescent moon and has the baby Jesus in her arms. She has a scepter in her right hand and a crown on her head.
- Small memorial No. 29 (Hundheim): memorial plaque. This beautiful Mother of God from 1914 can be seen on the gable of the Kolb House in Tiefental.
