The Tief Trebbower See or Tiefentrebbow is located in the Mecklenburg Lake District in the Mecklenburg Lake District in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, about five kilometers south of Neustrelitz , to whose municipal area it also belongs.

The Tief Trebbower See is located on the western edge of the Strelitzer Niederung just south of the Kalkhorst nature reserve . The lake is traversed by the raft ditch created in 1932, which flows off again in the west of the lake in the direction of Flacher Trebbower See . The Stendlitz forms another tributary from the direction of the Neustrelitz district of Strelitz-Alt . The name of the lake goes back to the name of the field mark Trebbow , which includes the area between the places Klein Trebbow and Groß Trebbow .

The lake is navigable with light boats from the direction of the Woblitzsee via the raft ditch . The lake is closed to motorized shipping.
