Till Mairhofer (born May 29, 1958 in Steyr ) is an Austrian publisher and writer .

biography

At the age of 16, Mairhofer, born in Steyr in 1958, made his first artistic attempts by staging Ferdinand Raimund's magical tale, Der Verschwender , in his hometown . Today he writes poems , novels , stories and essays . As a co-founder of the “Edition Wehrgraben” publishing house, he also published the collected works of Dora Dunkl ( Ein Haus aus Stein , 1992). The secondary school teacher sees himself as a “literary pedagogue” and organizes school theater performances and literary walks, for example to the locations of Marlen Haushofer's novels in Upper Austria's Steyrtal ( Die Wand , 1962, Himmel, der Nowgendwo , 1966).
