Tillfried Cernajsek

Tillfried Cernajsek (born November 24, 1943 in Vienna ) is an Austrian micropalaeontologist.

Cernajsek began studying at the University of Vienna in the summer semester of 1964 , where he received his doctorate degree in palaeontology in 1971. phil. received his doctorate. In 1972 he started to work as a librarian at the Federal Geological Institute in Vienna. In 2008 he retired.

As a micropalaeontologist, Cernajsek works, among other things, with ostracods from the Young Tertiary .
