Timothy Balme
Timothy "Tim" Balme (* 1967 ) is a New Zealand actor and screenwriter . With his first leading role as Lionel Cosgrove in Peter Jackson's splatter film -Persiflage Braindead , he became internationally known in 1992.
Life
Balme got the lead role in Peter Jackson's Braindead in 1992 , which made him well-known, especially among horror movie fans. He then took on a role in the television series Shortland Street . Balme has been writing screenplays since 2005, mostly for individual episodes of various New Zealand television series. In addition to his work as a film and television actor, Balme also plays theater. For his portrayal of James K Baxter in the piece Horseplay he received the 2010 in the NZ Herald Best of Theater Awards the award Best of Theater 2010 .
Timothy Balme is a co-founder of the production company South Pacific Pictures .
Balme is married to the actress and director Katie Wolfe , with whom he has two children, a daughter (* 2001) and a son (* 2006). He has another son from a previous relationship (* 1987).
