Tim Gunn

Timothy M. Gunn (born July 29, 1953 in Washington, DC ) is an American fashion consultant.

Life

After finishing school, Gunn attended the private Corcoran College of Art and Design , where he received the BFA in design (sculpture). Gunn was a faculty member at the Parsons School of Design from 1982 to 2007 . From August 2000 to March 2007, Gunn was head of fashion design at the school. He is known nationwide on American television for his participation in the television series Project Runway . Gunn lives openly asexually in New York City .

He also embodied himself in five episodes of the US sitcom How I Met Your Mother ( 100th episode, 2010 and the 188th episode, 189th episode, 2013 and the 201st and 206th episode, 2014 ). In 2009 he was a guest star on Drop Dead Diva . He was also seen in the 2010 series Gossip Girl , in which he played himself for an episode. He had an acting role as Henri for the film The Smurfs .

Gunn and Heidi Klum produced and hosted the designer casting show Making the Cut , which has been on Amazon Prime Video since March 27, 2020 .
