Tim Prose
Tim Pröse (* 1970 in Essen ) is a German journalist and book author.
Life
Tim Pröse grew up in Essen. He studied communication science, politics and psychology at the University of Essen and wrote as a freelancer a. a. for the Westdeutsche Allgemeine Zeitung , Berliner Zeitung , Hamburger Morgenpost and Rhein-Neckar-Zeitung . In 1996 he volunteered at the Münchner Abendzeitung , where he became editor and ultimately chief reporter. In 2002 he switched to Focus , where he primarily wrote reports and portraits as editor of the “Reports” and “People” departments. He has been a freelance journalist and book author since 2015.
Tim Prose's book witnesses to the century. The message of the last heroes against Hitler from 2016 portrayed eighteen resistance fighters, lifesavers and survivors of Nazi terror: the author met and a. Inge Aicher-Scholl, the sister of Sophie and Hans Scholl, the later Krupp Plenipotentiary Berthold Beitz , who saved hundreds of Jews in the Third Reich, the Hitler assassins Ewald-Heinrich von Kleist and Philipp von Boeselager - and Jerzy Gross, the then last survivors of "Schindler's List".
In 2017 Pröse wrote the biography Hallervorden. A comedian gets serious , for whom he accompanied Dieter Hallervorden for a year. The book Saturday evening heroes followed in 2018 . Personal encounters with the most legendary stars from film, radio and television . Then in 2019 Mario Adorf. Encore! , the life balance of the actor, for which Pröse asked Adorf about his life in his house in St. Tropez.
With his book Jan Fedder - Immortal , Pröse came first on the Spiegel bestseller list. For these posthumously published memoirs, Pröse accompanied the actor in the latter's last year.
Pröse lives in Munich.
